A pair of Black Redstarts were reported in Lamlash on Tuesday 3 November in Lamlash. They were seen in Bungalow Road linking the A841 with Shore Road opposite where the new houses are being built.

This is the first record of this species on Arran this year. The last record was also in November on 8 November 2008 at the Lakin.
